Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts and Accelerated Precast Construction
Presented by Mr. Ron Reichert with Ameritex Pipe
BIO: Ron Reichert attended Drexel University where he earned a BS in Civil Engineering. He has been heavily involved with ASCE committees and events at the local, state and national level, as well as APWA, SAME, AGC, IAI, and numerous other engineering and infrastructure associations. Additionally, Ron serves on ASTM C-13, E-60, F-17, and F-36 committees. An employee of AmeriTex Pipe & Products since 2016, Ron has over 24 years of experience in specification and selection of infrastructure materials.
ABSTRACT: Time is money! This is one reason we strive to deliver projects in a shorter time. But the other benefits are just as important: safety, environmental, community disruption. Delivering projects early can benefit our citizenry in multiple ways. We will discuss the concept of "Every Day Counts" and explore best practices in box culvert installation to achieve our goals.

Presented by Dr. Siavash "Ash" Zamiran, P.E., with the University of Houston
BIO: Dr. Siavash (Ash) Zamiran, is a geotechnical engineer and founder of Civotec LLC, a Houston-based consulting firm specializing in geomechanics and geotechnical analysis. With extensive experience in consulting, academia, and project management, he combines deep technical expertise with a passion for problem-solving in fields like offshore wind foundations, computational geotechnics, and seismic hazard analysis. Dr. Zamiran is also a lecturer at the University of Houston and an entrepreneur actively exploring innovative business ventures.
ABSTRACT: This presentation is designed to equip professionals with essential skills and knowledge for monitoring geohazards during and after pipeline construction. Participants will learn about advanced techniques for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with geological hazards. The seminar covers real-time monitoring technologies, risk assessment methodologies, and best practices in geohazard management to ensure the safety and integrity of pipelines.
