ABSTRACT:  Learn about DYWIDAG’s Smart Anchor which allows asset owners and their engineering team to better understand the performance of installed ground anchors via a cloud-based data management platform with 24/7, 365-day access and alert system.


BIOS: Mr. Orlando Martinez comes to DYWIDAG from the construction industry with experience in Design, Engineering Services, Project Management, Sales Management and Business Development. He holds a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters degree in Executive Management for Design & Construction and is based in Berkeley, California. Christiane Lederer joined DYWIDAG from Emerson Automation Solutions with corrosion monitoring experience in the oil and gas industry to lead Infrastructure Health Monitoring in North America. She holds Bachelors and Masters degrees as well as a Ph.D. in Process and Environmental Engineering and is based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Wireless Monitoring Technology for Concrete

ABSTRACT: Sensytec, Inc. is revolutionizing the oil, gas and construction industries by bringing smart cement technologies and real-time data collection to the forefront of every job site. This presentation will cover the conventional methods for concrete testing, some of the disadvantages of such methods, and how our wireless concrete monitoring technology is improving the way we operate and understand concrete . We will go over the functionality and features of our technology, the ASTM standard approval for use of technology in concrete monitoring, and lastly answering any questions the audience might have.


BIOS:  Mr. Ody De La Paz is the CEO and co-founder of Sensytec, Inc. and holds a BBA in Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Houston. Starting with a class project at the University of Houston's Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship , De La Paz quickly saw the need to grow and develop smart concrete technology. His previous entrepreneurial experience includes starting and operating his own used car dealership in Houston. Mr. Alex Santander has over 10 years of experience working in the construction industry. In his previous job, he worked as a Lead Estimator and Project Manager, working on projects ranging from $2 to $5M in revenue. He received his BBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Houston while contributing time and energy to Houston’s tech ecosystem.
